Resinous & Epoxy Flooring

Resinous & Epoxy Flooring Systems

High-Performance Industrial & Commercial Coatings

When facility performance, safety compliance, and long-term asset protection are non-negotiable, resinous and epoxy flooring systems deliver unmatched durability.

At Dixie Contract, we have spent more than 60 years helping general contractors, facility managers, and industrial operators across Northeast Florida select and execute high-performance flooring. From heavy manufacturing and medical cleanrooms to commercial kitchens and educational campuses, we deliver seamless surfaces engineered to perform under the toughest conditions.

Beyond Standard Epoxy: Specialized Resin Technologies

“Epoxy” is often used as a catch-all term, but demanding environments require specific chemical formulations. We evaluate your facility’s traffic, thermal shifts, and chemical exposure to specify the exact system your project demands.

Polyaspartic & MMA Coatings

Rapid-curing systems designed for ultra-fast turnaround times, minimizing facility downtime or keeping fast-track commercial construction schedules on time.

Urethane Cement / Concrete

The industry standard for food and beverage processing, commercial kitchens, and breweries. Engineered to withstand extreme thermal shock (hot water washdowns) and constant moisture.

Epoxy Mortar & Slurry Systems

High-impact, heavy-duty builds designed for forklift traffic, manufacturing floors, and severe mechanical abuse.

Decorative Quartz & Flake

Multi-layered systems that combine high aesthetics with slip-resistance, ideal for corridors, restrooms, and public-facing commercial spaces.

Engineered for High-Stress Environments

Commercial and industrial operations require flooring that mitigates risk and lowers lifecycle costs. Our resinous systems provide:

  • Seamless Sanitation: Non-porous, seamless flooring with optional integral cove base eliminates joints where bacteria, mold, and contaminants can accumulate – helping support USDA, FDA, and healthcare compliance standards.
  • Advanced Safety Features: Customizable slip-resistant textures to improve traction in wet or oily environments, helping reduce slip-and-fall liabilities.
  • Chemical & Thermal Resistance: Withstands harsh chemicals, acids, solvents, and extreme temperature swings for reliable performance in demanding commercial, industrial, and healthcare environments.
  • Substrate Protection: Completely seals the underlying concrete, preventing moisture intrusion and chemical degradation from ruining your structural slab.

Our Process

A resinous flooring system performs only as well as the substrate beneath it. That’s why Dixie Contract treats surface preparation as a critical engineering phase. Every system is built on verified data, precise preparation, and controlled installation conditions to ensure long-term performance.

01

Phase 1

Concrete Diagnostic & Moisture Testing

Before any resin is mixed or applied, we evaluate the slab for Moisture Vapor Emission Rate (MVER) and in-situ relative humidity (RH). If elevated moisture conditions are detected, we incorporate specialized moisture mitigation primers to reduce vapor transmission and prevent future blistering, bubbling, or delamination.

02

Phase 2

Mechanical Surface Preparation

We prepare concrete substrates in strict accordance with International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) standards. Using dust-controlled shot-blasting and diamond grinding, we achieve the specified Concrete Surface Profile (CSP) required to ensure a permanent mechanical bond between the resinous system and the slab.

03

Final Phase

Precision Application & Curing

Our experienced installation teams apply each resin layer according to manufacturer specifications, including exact mil-thickness requirements. This controlled process ensures proper chemical cross-linking, uniform film formation, and a seamless, high-performance finished surface.
